“Musicality Immersion”
Saturday and Sunday session

– Saturday:
Bread and Butter of tango musicality.
We will give all the fundamentals of being a musical dancer. Form, phrasing of tango with relaxation in to the music.

– Sunday:
Sweet indulgences in tango musicality. making decisions so you and your partner taste the quality in musical dancing.

Both days are for both men and women.
Level is intermediate and above.
some progression from Saturday to Sunday seminars might occur.
So it is recommended to take both days

A seguito di molti anni spesi a New York e Washington, Murat Erdemsel è parte di una nuova generazione di ballerini di tango negli Stati Uniti.
Egli è riconosciuto come un ballerino elegante e giocoso, con uno stile unico ed originale. Uno stile fortemente basato sull’abbraccio, la musicalità e l’improvvisazione.
Utilizzando un approccio olistico progettato per dare agli studenti gli strumenti per crescere da soli, le sue lezioni di tango combinano con successo l’analisi tecnica del movimento e l’interpretazione sensoriale della musica.
Nato a Istanbul, Murat ha insegnato danza, musica e belle arti in tutto il mondo.
Noto per la sua forte leadership e musicalità Murat è caldo, attento, divertente e graditissimo agli allievi.

Murat’s tango journey started in 1998. He was born in Turkey with Italian and Croatian roots. Studied art in the academy of fine arts following his parent’s academic carriers. Before he graduated the academy in Istanbul, he also met Tango dancing at a local milonga that in fact he was forcefully taken to. He was fascinated, mostly by the improvisational aspects of this dance. He started taking lessons the next morning and never stopped.
He completed his school studies on fine arts and specialized in fresco and mural making in both Istanbul then in The United States. He lived in Washington, Dc and New York, worked for Dance Manhattan Studios. He married and partnered Michelle and together they traveled to teach, also outside the United States. shortly after as Australia and New Zealand became a usual itinerary, he started lecturing on music of tango along with his music paintings.
Murat also started a new partnership with Sigrid Van Tilbeurgh in 2015 which to be ended during the pandemic times in 2020. They worked in Europe and toured in Au and Nz together.
Today Murat works most of his schedule with an exceptional dancer Silvina Tse and also sometimes alone.
Besides teaching and performing, he continues giving lectures at tango marathons and festivals. He never stopped traveling as he finds tremendous amount of pleasure in teaching and spreading inspirations for tango dancers around the world.
Currently Murat lives in Switzerland with his wife and their daughter.
